Chapter: Forbidden sales - Clarification that interception is only forbidden until goods reach the market
Hadith 4959
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ تَلَقِّي السِّلَعِ حَتَّى تَهْبِطَ الأَسْوَاقَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade meeting traders (outside the market) until they reach the market.
