ذكر البيان بأن اتخاذ الأحباس في سبيل الله من خير ما يخلف المرء بعده-
Clarification that establishing endowments for Allah's cause is among the best legacies
Hadith 4902
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ فُلَيْحِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " خَيْرُ مَا يَخْلُفُ الْمَرْءُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ ثَلاثٌ ، وَلَدٌ صَالِحٌ يَدْعُو لَهُ ، وَصَدَقَةٌ تَجْرِي يَبْلُغُهُ أَجْرُهَا ، وَعَمَلٌ يُعْمَلُ بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ " .
Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah narrates from his father: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say: "After a person dies, among the things he leaves behind, three are the best: righteous children who pray for him, ongoing charity whose reward continues to reach him, and good deeds that continue to be acted upon after him."
