ذكر البيان بأن المرء ممنوع عن أخذ ضوال الإبل دون غيرها من سائر الضوال-
Clarification that a person is forbidden from taking stray camels, unlike other lost property
Hadith 4898
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْمُنْبَعِثِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " اعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ، ثُمَّ عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً ، فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا ، وَإِلا فَشَأْنَكَ بِهَا " ، قَالَ : فَضَالَّةُ الْغَنَمِ ، قَالَ : " هِيَ لَكَ أَوْ لأَخِيكَ أَوْ لِلذِّئْبِ " ، قَالَ : فَضَالَّةُ الإِبِلِ ، قَالَ : " مَا لَكَ وَلَهَا مَعَهَا سِقَاؤُهَا وَحِذَاؤُهَا تَرِدُ الْمَاءَ ، وَتَأْكُلُ الشَّجَرَ حَتَّى يَلْقَاهَا رَبُّهَا " .
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked him about a lost item that is found. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Remember its pouch and its string for identification, and announce it for one year. If its owner comes, then fine; otherwise, you may use it. He asked about a lost goat (what is the ruling regarding it). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It will either come to you, or to one of your brothers, or to the wolves. He asked about a lost camel (what is the ruling regarding it). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: What do you have to do with it? Its belly is with it, its legs are with it, it will drink water itself, eat the leaves of trees, until its owner reaches it.
