باب الغلول - ذكر البيان بأن قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم شراكا من نار أراد به أنك إن لم تردهما عذبت بمثلهما في النار-
Chapter on Embezzlement – Clarifying that the Prophet’s saying “straps of fire” means if you do not return them, you will be punished with their like in the Fire.
Hadith 4852
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ مُطِيعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أَهْدَى رِفَاعَةُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلامًا فَخَرَجَ بِهِ مَعَهُ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ ، فَأَتَى الْغُلامَ سَهْمٌ غَرْبٌ فَقَتَلَهُ ، فَقُلْنَا : هَنِيئًا لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، الشَّمْلَةُ لَتَحْتَرِقُ عَلَيْهِ الآنَ فِي النَّارِ غَلَّهَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَصَبْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ شِرَاكَيْنِ ، قَالَ : " يُعَدَّدُ لَكَ مِثْلُهُمَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Rifa’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) gave a slave as a gift to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took him along to Khaybar. A stray arrow struck the slave and he died, so we said: Congratulations to him for Paradise. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the cloak he took from the spoils of the Muslims at the time of Khaybar without permission is burning upon him in Hellfire. Then an Ansari said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! That day I found two straps. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For you, two straps of fire will be prepared in Hell like them.
