Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: A man from among the Ansar became blind. He sent a message to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, requesting that he come and designate a place in his house for prayer, so that he could make that spot his prayer area. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came, and people gathered in his service, but one person did not come. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked: Where is that person? One man, accusing him, said: He is such and such, he is like this and that. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Did he not participate in Badr? The people replied: Yes, O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him! But he does such and such things. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty turned towards the people of Badr and said: Do whatever you wish. I have forgiven you.
