Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) achieved victory over a people, he (peace and blessings be upon him) liked to stay in their area for three days (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) or three nights.
