Chapter on Setting Out and the Manner of Jihad – On the time when the Prophet, peace be upon him, set out for Mecca.
Hadith 4742
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ قَزَعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : " أَذِنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالرَّحِيلِ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ لِلَيْلَتَيْنِ خَلَتَا مِنْ رَمَضَانِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) announced departure after two nights of Ramadan had passed.
