Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Battle of Uhud, when those people retreated, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was with seven Ansar and one Qurayshi. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Who will drive them away from us? Such a person will be my companion in Paradise. So one Ansari stood up. He fought until he was martyred. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said the same thing, so another person stood up, he fought until he was martyred. After that, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept saying the same thing until all seven men were martyred. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: We have not done justice to our companions. O Allah, if You will that You are not worshipped on the earth... (after this, the words of the narration may not have been fully transmitted)
