Chapter on the Obligation of Jihad – On the command to encourage jihad and the killing of the enemies of God.
Hadith 4708
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَن ِالنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " جَاهِدُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ ، وَأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Strive against the polytheists with your hands and your tongues."
