Chapter on the Virtue of Spending in Allah's Cause - On the report refuting those who claim the narrator did not hear it directly
Hadith 4650
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بِنَسَا ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيَّ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنّ رَجُلا تَصَدَّقَ بِنَاقَةٍ مَخْطُومَةٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَتَأْتِيَنَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِسَبْعِ مِائَةِ نَاقَةٍ مَخْطُومَةٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man gave a she-camel with a nose-ring in charity in the way of Allah, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, it will come with seven hundred she-camels with nose-rings.
