Hadith 4635
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرَمِيُّ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حُرْمَةُ نِسَاءِ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ كَحُرْمَةِ أُمَّهَاتِهِمْ ، وَمَا مِنْ قَاعِدٍ يَخْلُفُ مُجَاهِدًا فِي أَهْلِهِ بِسُوءٍ إِِلا أُقِيمَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ : هَذَا خَلْفُكَ فِي أَهْلِكَ بِسُوءٍ ، فَخُذْ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ " .
Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The sanctity of the wives of the Mujahideen for those who stay behind is like the sanctity of their own mothers. And whoever among those who stay behind betrays a Mujahid regarding his wife, then on the Day of Resurrection, that person will be presented before the Mujahid and it will be said to the Mujahid: This person betrayed your wife in your absence, so take his good deeds.
