Yazid bin Abu Maryam narrates: I was going for Jumu’ah when ‘Abayah bin Rifa’ah reached me and informed me: I heard Sayyiduna Abu ‘Abs (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever’s two feet become dusty in the way of Allah, Allah makes the (two feet, i.e., that person) forbidden for Hellfire.” (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Sayyiduna Abu ‘Abs (may Allah be pleased with him) belonged to the people of Badr, whose name was ‘Abdur Rahman bin Jubair bin ‘Amr bin Zayd bin Jashm bin Harithah bin Harith bin Khazraj Al-Ansari. He passed away in 43 Hijri and was buried in Jannat al-Baqi’. Sayyiduna Abu Burdah bin Niyar (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Salamah bin Salamah bin Waqsh (may Allah be pleased with him) descended into his grave. In the narration of the people of Sham, the narrator named Walid will be Yazid bin Abu Maryam, and in the narration of the people of Iraq, it will be Burayd.
