Chapter on the Virtue of Jihad - On the report that jihad with sincere intention equals migration
Hadith 4592
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الأَزْرَقُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ ، وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "After the conquest of (Makkah), migration no longer remains, but only jihad and intention (remain)."
