Ibn Hibban

Sayyidah Umm Husayn (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I performed the Farewell Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I saw Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) walking, holding the reins of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) camel. One of them was holding the reins, and the other had lifted his sheet to shield the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the sun, until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) completed the stoning at Jamrah Aqabah. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned, and the people remained standing. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had placed his sheet on his left shoulder, and it was passing under his right armpit. The narrator says: I saw a raised mark under the bulge of his right shoulder (perhaps this refers to the Seal of Prophethood). (The narrator says) Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke at length. Among the things the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said was this: “If a black slave is appointed over you as your leader, whose nose and ears are cut off, and he leads you according to the Book of Allah, then obey and follow him.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Have I conveyed (the message)?
