باب في الخلافة والإمارة - ذكر ما يستحب للإمام استعمال الوعظ لرعيته في بعض الأيام ليتقوى به المنشمر في الحال ويبتدئ فيه المروي فيه-
Chapter on Caliphate and Leadership - On the recommendation for the leader to admonish his people occasionally to encourage the active and inspire the hesitant
Hadith 4524
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مِمَّا يُذَكِّرُ النَّاسَ كُلَّ خَمِيسٍ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : وَدِدْتُ أَنَّكَ ذَكَّرْتَنَا كُلَّ يَوْمٍ . قَالَ : أَمَا إِِنَّهُ مَا يَمْنَعُنِي ذَلِكَ إِِلا مَخَافَةَ أَنْ أُمِلَّكُمْ ، إِِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَتَخَوَّلُنَا بِالْمَوْعِظَةِ بَيْنَ الأَيَّامِ مَخَافَةَ السَّآمَةِ عَلَيْنَا " .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): He used to preach to the people every Thursday. A person submitted: I wish that you would preach to us every day. So Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I refrain from doing so only out of the concern that I might cause you to become weary. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to preach to us at intervals, out of the concern that we might become weary.
