Hadith 4487
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا فَيَّاضُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ أَبَا جَهْمِ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ مُصَدِّقًا " فَلاجَّهُ رَجُلٌ فِي صَدَقَتِهِ ، فَضَرَبَهُ أَبُو جَهْمٍ فَشَجَّهُ ، فَأَتَوَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالُوا : الْقَوَدُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَكُمْ كَذَا وَكَذَا " . فَلَمْ يَرْضَوْا ، فَقَالَ : " لَكُمْ كَذَا وَكَذَا " . فَلَمْ يَرْضَوْا ، فَقَالَ : " لَكُمْ كَذَا وَكَذَا " . فَرَضُوا ، وَقَالَ : " أَرَضِيتُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا : نَعَمْ .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Abu Juham bin Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) to collect Zakat. While paying Zakat, a man argued with him. Abu Juham (may Allah be pleased with him) struck him and injured him. Those people came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Grant us retribution. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take these things (and be content with them), but they were not satisfied with that. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take these, these things in addition, but they were still not satisfied. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take these, these things in addition, so they became satisfied with that. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Are you now satisfied? They replied: Yes.
