Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people from the tribe of ‘Ukl (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) or ‘Uraynah came to Madinah Munawwarah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to go to the camels (in the enclosure). He (peace be upon him) instructed them to go and drink their milk and urine. They drank it until they became healthy. Then they killed (the shepherd of those camels) and drove the camels away. In the morning, this news reached the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so he sent a party after them. After the day had risen, those people were caught and brought back. By the order of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), their hands and feet were cut off, hot iron was passed over their eyes, and they were thrown onto hot stones. They would ask for water, but they were not given any water. Abu Qilabah says: These were the people who committed theft, murder, apostatized after accepting faith, and waged war against Allah and His Messenger.
