Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Eight people from the tribe of ‘Ukl came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The climate of Madinah did not suit them, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to go to the camels of charity and drink their milk and urine. They did so, then they killed the shepherd of the (charity) camels and drove the camels away. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a party in pursuit of them, they were captured and brought back. Their hands and feet were cut off, hot irons were passed over their eyes, and they were left in that state. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not have them cauterized (to stop their bleeding).
