Hadith 4462
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : " مَا طَالَ عَلَيَّ وَلا نَسِيتُ : الْقَطْعَ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا " .
The noble wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: Not much time has passed, nor have I forgotten this matter, that the hand is cut off for theft of a quarter dinar or more (in value).
