Hadith 4441
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، وَعُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ . قَالَ : فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِوَلِيِّهَا ، فَقَالَ : " أَحْسِنْ إِِلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَضَعَ مَا فِي بَطْنِهَا ، فَإِِذَا وَضَعَتْ فَأْتِنِي بِهَا " . فَأَتَى بِهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ بِهَا ، فَشُدَّتْ عَلَيْهَا ثِيَابُهَا ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا فَرُجِمَتْ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَتُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا وَقَدْ زَنَتْ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ تَابَتْ تَوْبَةً لَوْ قُسِمَتْ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَوَسِعَتْهُمْ ، وَهَلْ وَجَدْتَ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَنْ جَادَتْ بِنَفْسِهَا لِلَّهِ " .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A woman from the tribe of Juhaina came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). She said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! I have committed a crime deserving of the prescribed punishment, so carry out the punishment on me. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) called for her guardian and said: Treat her well until she gives birth to the child in her womb. When she gives birth, bring her to me. Then that man brought the woman to the Prophet (peace be upon him), so the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that her clothes be tied around her, then, by the order of the Prophet (peace be upon him), she was stoned to death. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) offered her funeral prayer. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Are you going to offer her funeral prayer even though she committed adultery? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: She has repented with such a repentance that if it were to be divided among seventy people of Madinah, it would be sufficient for all of them. Do you find anyone superior to her? She sacrificed her life for the sake of Allah Almighty.
