Chapter on Adultery – The term “adultery” applied to the hand when touching the forbidden
Hadith 4422
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ الطُّرْسُوسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُرَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَأْثُرُهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ أَصَابَ مِنَ الزِّنَى لا مَحَالَةَ : فَالْعَيْنُ زِنَاؤُهَا النَّظَرُ ، وَالْيَدُ زِنَاؤُهَا اللَّمْسُ ، وَالنَّفْسُ تَهْوَى ، يُصَدِّقُهُ أَوْ يُكَذِّبُهُ الْفَرْجُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Every human being inevitably commits adultery; the adultery of the eye is looking, the adultery of the hand is touching, the soul desires, and the private part either confirms or denies it."
