ذكر الزجر عن أن يفي المرء بنذر المعصية وما لم يكن مالكا له في وقت نذره-
Prohibition of fulfilling a vow involving sin or what one does not own at the time
Hadith 4391
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا وَفَاءَ لِنَذْرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ ، وَلا وَفَاءَ لِنَذْرٍ فِي مَا لا يَمْلِكُ الْعَبْدُ ، أَوِ ابْنُ آدَمَ " .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A vow regarding a sin should not be fulfilled, nor should a vow be fulfilled regarding something over which a servant has no control (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) over which the son of Adam has no control."
