Hadith 4382
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was walking with the support of two people between him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) inquired about him. So the people informed: He has made a vow that he will go on foot (the narrator says: that is, he will go on foot to the Ka'bah). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah, the Exalted, is free from need of this person putting himself in hardship. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed that man to ride. Layth, Haql, and Awza'i all belong to the same era. Abdur Rahman bin Yaman, Yahya bin Sa'id, and Humaid belong to one era; they have narrated from each other. This has been stated by the Shaykh.
