ذكر ما يستحب للإمام عندما سبق منه من يمين إمضاء ما رأى خيرا له دون التعرج على يمينه التي مضت-
Recommendation for the leader to do what is better if he previously swore an oath
Hadith 4353
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْبُخَارِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الطُّفَاوِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِِذَا حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لَمْ يَحْنَثْ ، حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ كَفَّارَةُ الْيَمِينِ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا أَحْلِفُ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَأَرَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا ، إِِلا أَتَيْتُ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ ، وَكَفَّرْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِي " .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Whenever the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) took an oath, he would not act contrary to it until the verse regarding the expiation of oaths was revealed. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Now, whenever I take an oath and I consider another course of action to be better, I will do what is better and offer expiation for my oath.
