ذكر الأمر بترك اليمين للحالف إذا علم تركه خير من المضي في يمينه-
Instruction to leave an oath if breaking it is better than fulfilling it
Hadith 4345
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ الْجُدِّيُّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ الطَّائِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا ، فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ ، ثُمَّ لِيَتْرُكْ يَمِينَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever takes an oath and then considers another action better than it, he should do what is better and abandon his oath."
