Report refuting the claim that only Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani narrated this report
Hadith 4340
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ مَثْرُودٍ الْغَافِقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ ، فَقَالَ : إِِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، لَمْ يَحْنَثْ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever swears an oath and says 'InshaAllah' (if Allah wills), he is not considered to have broken his oath."
