Hadith 4280
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ سَهْلٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّةِ ، أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَحْتَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ ، وَأَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ إِِلَى صَلاةِ الصُّبْحِ ، فَوَجَدَ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ سَهْلٍ عَلَى بَابِهِ فِي الْغَلَسِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا شَأْنُكِ ؟ " فَقَالَتْ : لا أَنَا وَلا ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ لِزَوْجِهَا . فَلَمَّا جَاءَ ثَابِتٌ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَذِهِ حَبِيبَةُ بِنْتُ سَهْلٍ ، قَدْ ذَكَرَتْ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَذْكُرَ " . قَالَتْ حَبِيبَةُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كُلُّ مَا أَعْطَانِي عِنْدِي . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ : " خُذْ مِنْهَا " . فَأَخَذَ مِنْهَا ، وَجَلَسَتْ فِي أَهْلِهَا " .
Sayyida Habibah bint Sahal Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: She was the wife of Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qais bin Shamas (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out of his house for the morning prayer and found Habibah bint Sahal standing at his door in the darkness. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: What has happened to you? The woman replied: There can be no reconciliation between me and Thabit bin Qais, meaning she said this about her husband. When Thabit came, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: This is Habibah bint Sahal, she has mentioned what Allah willed. So Sayyida Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), whatever he gave me (as dowry) is with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qais: Take it from her. So he took it from her and the woman returned to her family.
