Hadith 4257
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : جَاءَتْ هِنْدُ بِنْتُ عُتْبَةَ إِِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهِ مَا كَانَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ أَهْلُ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبَّ إِِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ يُذِلَّهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَائِكَ ، وَمَا عَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ أَهْلُ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبَّ إِِلَيَّ الْيَوْمَ أَنْ يُعِزَّهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَائِكَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ ، فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ حَرَجٍ أَنْ أُنْفِقَ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ مِنْ مَالِهِ بِغَيْرِ إِِذْنِهِ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا حَرَجَ عَلَيْكِ أَنْ تُنْفِقِي بِالْمَعْرُوفِ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Hind bint Utbah came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! By Allah! (Previously it was such) that there was no household on the face of the earth more disliked by me than your household, and now there is no household on the face of the earth more beloved to me than your household. Then she said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Abu Sufyan is a miserly man, so will there be any sin on me if I spend from his wealth on his children without his permission? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: If you spend on them in a reasonable manner, there will be no sin on you.
