باب النفقة - ذكر الإخبار عما يجب على والي اليتيم التسوية بين من في حجره من الأيتام وبين ولده في النفقة عليهم-
Chapter: Maintenance – Obligation for a guardian of orphans to treat them equally with his own children
Hadith 4244
أَخْبَرَنَا إِِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعُمَرِيُّ بِالْمَوْصِلِ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْخَزَّازِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مِمَّا أَضْرِبُ مِنْهُ يَتِيمِي ؟ قَالَ : " مِمَّا كُنْتَ ضَارِبًا مِنْهُ وَلَدَكَ غَيْرَ وَاقٍ مَالَكَ بِمَالِهِ ، وَلا مُتَأَثِّلٍ مِنْ مَالِهِ مَالا " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! With what should I discipline the orphan child under my care?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "With that which you discipline your own son. Do not try to protect your wealth through the wealth of the orphan under your care, and do not try to increase your wealth through it."
