Chapter: Prohibition of anal intercourse – Forbidding intercourse with one’s wife outside the place of procreation
Hadith 4201
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ حِطَّانَ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ سَلامٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ طَلْقٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّا نَكُونَ فِي أَرْضِ الْفَلاةِ ، فَيَكُونُ مِنَّا الرُّوَيْحَةُ ، وَفِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ ، وَلا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَسْتَحِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ " .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Taliq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: We live in a land that is barren and water is scarce. Sometimes a little wind passes from one of us and water becomes less (so what should we do)? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When wind passes from anyone, he should perform ablution, and do not have intercourse with women in their back passage. Indeed, Allah is not shy of stating the truth.
