Chapter: Marital relations – Angels curse a woman who refuses her husband’s call
Hadith 4172
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدٌ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ دَعَا امْرَأَتَهُ ، فَلَمْ تُجِبْهُ ، فَبَاتَ سَاخِطًا عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ ، لَعَنَتْهَا الْمَلائِكَةُ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "If a man calls his wife (to himself) and she does not respond to him, and the husband spends the night in anger, then the angels continue to curse that woman until morning."
