Chapter: Marital relations – Some reasons why women betray their husbands
Hadith 4169
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلا بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ لَمْ يَخْنَزِ الطَّعَامُ ، وَلَمْ يَخْنَزِ اللَّحْمُ ، وَلَوْلا حَوَّاءُ لَمْ تَخُنْ أُنْثَى زَوْجَهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If the Children of Israel had not stored food, the food would not have become rotten, and if Lady Hawwa (may Allah be pleased with her) had not done (that act), no woman would have betrayed her husband."
