Hadith 4164
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حِبَّانَ ، عَنْ نَهَارِ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِابْنَةٍ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَذِهِ ابْنَتِي قَدْ أَبَتْ أَنْ تَتَزَوَّجَ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَطِيعِي أَبَاكِ " ، فَقَالَتْ : وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لا أَتَزَوَّجُ حَتَّى تُخْبِرَنِي مَا حَقُّ الزَّوْجِ عَلَى زَوْجَتِهِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حَقُّ الزَّوْجِ عَلَى زَوْجَتِهِ ، أَنْ لَوْ كَانَتْ لَهُ قَرْحَةٌ فَلَحَسَتْهَا مَا أَدَّتْ حَقَّهُ " ، قَالَتْ : وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لا أَتَزَوَّجُ أَبَدًا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَنْكِحُوهُنَّ إِلا بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his daughter. He said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! This daughter refuses to get married. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the girl: Obey your father. She said: By the One Who has sent you (peace and blessings be upon him) with the truth, I will not marry until you (peace and blessings be upon him) inform me about the rights of a husband over his wife. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The right of the husband over the wife is such that if the husband has a sore and the woman licks it, even then she cannot fulfill the right of her husband. The girl said: By the One Who has sent you (peace and blessings be upon him) with the truth, I will never marry. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Marry these women only after taking permission from their families.
