Hadith 4157
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَسْلَمَ غَيْلانُ الثَّقَفِيُّ وَعِنْدَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمْسِكْ أَرْبَعًا ، وَفَارِقْ سَائِرَهُنَّ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: Sayyiduna Ghalan Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam, and he had ten wives. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep four of them and separate from the rest."
