Chapter: Prohibited marriages – Maymunah’s testimony that the Prophet (peace be upon him) married her while not in ihram
Hadith 4136
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو فَزَارَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَصَمِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنَا مَيْمُونَةُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهُوَ حَلالٌ " .
Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married her, he was not in the state of Ihram at that time.
