Chapter: Prohibited marriages – A narration that confused some into thinking marriage in ihram is allowed
Hadith 4131
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) married Lady Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), he was in the state of Ihram.
