Hadith 4050
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No person should bid against his brother's bid until (the other person) buys it or leaves the deal, and no person should send a marriage proposal over his brother's proposal until (the other person) marries or leaves the proposal." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Abu Kathir is Yazid bin Abdur Rahman bin Udhaynah.
Hadith 4051
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "No person should send a marriage proposal over the proposal of his brother until the first proposer leaves it or gives permission, then he may send a marriage proposal."
