Hadith 4048
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يَسْتَامَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ ، أَوْ يَخْطُبَ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah narrates about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): He forbade that a person should bid over the bid of his brother, or that he should send a marriage proposal over the marriage proposal of his brother.
