Chapter on Sacrificial Animals – On Clarifying That the Prophet Sacrificed Seven Camels Upon Entering Mecca and Delayed the Rest to Mina
Hadith 4019
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَحِلُّوا إِلا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ ، قَالَ : وَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ سَبْعَ بَدَنَاتٍ قِيَامًا " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Makkah, he instructed the people to end their state of Ihram, except for those who had sacrificial animals with them. The narrator says: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered seven animals while they were standing, with his blessed hand.
