Chapter on Sacrificial Animals – On Permitting a Person to Send a Sacrificial Animal to the Sacred House While Residing in His Own Town and Not in Ihram
Hadith 4011
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، وَالأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلائِدَ الْغَنَمِ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا ، وَيَمْكُثُ حَلالا " .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I used to prepare necklaces for the sacrificial goats of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) would send them (the goats), and he himself would remain a resident without entering into the state of Ihram.
