Hadith 3991
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ لا يَسْتَطِيعُ الْحَجَّ ، وَالْعُمْرَةَ ، وَالظَّعْنَ ، فَقَالَ : " حَجَّ عَنْ أَبِيكَ واعْتَمِرْ " ، أَبُو رَزِينٍ لَقِيطُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ .
Sayyiduna Abu Razin Uqayli (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! My father is an old, elderly man; he does not have the strength to perform Hajj or Umrah, nor to sit on a mount. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Perform Hajj on behalf of your father and also perform Umrah on his behalf. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The name of Sayyiduna Abu Razin (may Allah be pleased with him) is Laqit bin Amir.
