Hadith 3979
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ ، وَهُوَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " أَتُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِكَ ؟ " ، فَقُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَحْلِقَ ، قَالَ : وَلَمْ يُبَيِّنْ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ يَحْلِقُونَ بِهَا ، وَهُمْ عَلَى طَمَعٍ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوا مَكَّةَ ، قَالَ : فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْفِدْيَةِ ، وَأَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ، أَوْ أَطْعِمَ فَرَقًا بَيْنَ سِتَّةِ مَسَاكِينَ ، أَوْ أَذْبَحَ شَاةً .
Sayyiduna Ka’b bin ‘Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him while he was present at Hudaybiyyah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: “Are the lice on your head troubling you?” I replied: “Yes.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to shave my head. The narrator states: It was not clear to the people that they would have to shave their heads there; they wished to enter Makkah. The narrator states: Then the verse regarding fidyah (compensation) was revealed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to either fast for three days, or distribute one faraq (a specific measure of grain) among six needy people, or slaughter a goat.
