Chapter on What Is Permitted and Not Permitted for the Muhrim – On the Prohibition of Wearing Dyed Clothes While in Ihram
Hadith 3956
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ أَوْ وَرْسٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade a person in the state of ihram from wearing a garment dyed with saffron or wars.
Hadith 3957
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : وَقَصَتْ بِرَجُلٍ مُحْرِمٍ نَاقَتُهُ فَقَتَلَتْهُ ، فَأَتَى بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " اغْسِلُوهُ ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ ، وَلا تُغَطُّوا رَأْسَهُ ، وَلا تُقَرِّبُوهُ طِيبًا ، فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يُهِلُّ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A muhrim (person in the state of ihram) was thrown down and killed by his she-camel. He was brought to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), so he said: Bathe him, shroud him, but do not cover his head, and do not apply perfume to him, because he will be resurrected reciting the talbiyah.
