Chapter on What Is Permitted and Not Permitted for the Muhrim – On the Report Indicating That the Prophet Did This Action More Than Once
Hadith 3953
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَثْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلالٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ ، سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُحَيْنَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَحْيِ جَمَلٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فِي وَسَطِ رَأْسِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Buhaina (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done at the place of "Lahyi Jamal" on the way to Makkah. He had cupping done on the middle part of his head, and at that time he was in the state of Ihram.
