Chapter on What Is Permitted and Not Permitted for the Muhrim – On Permitting the Muhrim to Undergo Cupping for a Medical Need as Long as No Hair Is Cut
Hadith 3951
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، وَعَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " احْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done while he was in the state of Ihram.
