Chapter on What Is Permitted and Not Permitted for the Muhrim – On Permitting the Muhrim to Undergo Cupping for a Medical Need
Hadith 3950
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " احْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ مِنْ أَذًى كَانَ بِرَأْسِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had cupping done on his head due to pain while he was in the state of Ihram.
