Chapter on What Is Reported About the Hajj and Umrah of the Prophet – On the Report Refuting the Claim That the Prophet Performed Only Three Umrahs
Hadith 3946
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْجَنَدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " اعْتَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعَ عُمَرٍ ، عُمْرَةَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ، وَعُمْرَةَ الْقَضَاءِ مِنْ قَابِلٍ ، وَعُمْرَةَ الْجِعْرَانَةَ ، وَعُمْرَتَهُ الَّتِي مَعَ حَجَّتِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performed four Umrahs: one at the time of Hudaybiyyah, one the following year as Qada (compensation), one Umrah from Ji’ranah, and one Umrah which he performed along with his Hajj.
