Hadith 3937
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ دُرَيْكٍ ، أَنَّ مُطَرِّفًا عَادَ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا ، فَإِنْ بَرِئْتُ مِنْ وَجَعِي ، فَلا تُحَدِّثْ بِهِ ، وَلَوْ مَضَيْتُ لَشَأْنِي ، فَحَدِّثْ بِهِ ، إِنْ بَدَا لَكَ : " إِنَّا اسْتَمْتَعْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْهَنَا عَنْهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، رَأَى رَجُلٌ رَأْيَهُ " .
Khalid bin Dareek narrates: Mutarrif went to visit Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) during his illness, so Sayyiduna Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: I am going to narrate to you a hadith such that if I recover from this illness, you should not narrate this hadith to anyone, and if I pass away, then if you find it appropriate, you may narrate it. We performed Hajj Tamattu’ with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then he did not prohibit us from it, until when he passed away, a person, according to his own opinion, prohibited it.
