Chapter on What Is Reported About the Hajj and Umrah of the Prophet – On Clarifying That What Was Described Was in the Farewell Pilgrimage
Hadith 3932
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ بِبَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، وَعُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : إِنَّا عِنْدَ ثَفِنَاتِ نَاقَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَلَمَّا اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ ، قَالَ : " لَبَّيْكَ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ مَعًا " ، وَذَلِكَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was present at the time near the camel of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) which was near the mosque. When it stood up, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am present for performing Hajj and Umrah together. (The narrator says) This was on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage.
