Chapter on Tamattu’ – On Clarifying That Exiting Ihram Was Permitted Only for Those Who Did Not Bring Sacrificial Animals
Hadith 3928
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ ، " فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ أَنْ يَحِلَّ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ سَاقَ هَدْيًا " ، قَالَتْ : وَأَتَيْنَا بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا هَذَا ؟ ، قَالُوا : " ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When five days were left in the end of Dhu al-Qi'dah, we set out with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that whoever had performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah should come out of Ihram, except for the one who had a sacrificial animal with him. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Beef came to us, so I inquired: Where did this come from? People informed: The Messenger of Allah has slaughtered (a cow) on behalf of his wives.
